The Basics
The User Interface (UI) of WebWraps3 has been specifically designed to be drag-and-drop but as customizable as possible. You simply drag the content you want to the spot where you want it to appear and you're off and running! This guide will take you through the basics of operating your WebWrap3 site.
How to create new pages
When you sign up for WebWraps3, you'll have 5 pages on your site:
You'll be able to create more pages on your site by clicking the "pages" tab at the top of the control panel, and then clicking "add page". You'll be able to name the page, and select the order in which it appears in the primary navigation of your site.
It is important that you take the time to organize your pages so that users will be able to find content in your site easily. Remember, the website that gets its users to the content they want in the least amount of time will keep that user!
How to add an element to a page
So now you have a brand new page.... now what? You need to add content to that page. The first thing to do is figure out what you want to add to the page. Do you want to add text? do you want to add a photo? do you want to add a youtube video?
Click the "elements" tab at the top of your control panel and you'll be presented with square tiles at the top of the page. Each of these tiles represent a different type of content. There is one for text, there is one for one photo, there is one for a photo gallery, there is one for a slideshow, there is one for a youtube video, and there is even one for CUSTOM HTML. Find the tile that represents the content you are interested in and use your mouse to drag it into place on your page. As you drag, the system will give you visual hints about where you are about to place the content with an orange horizontal bar. Use your mouse to reposition the orange bar and release when the orange bar is in the appropriate place. Your content will be placed onto the page and you'll be able to edit/configure it at that time.
Adding an image to the page
First, figure out where on the page the image should go. You will be limited to the "content area" of the site. You won't be able to add images in the darkened area of your site as you are dragging your image into place. Find the "picture" option in the Elements tab, and drag it in to place. you'll see a blue placeholder image that says "click here to add image" or something similar to that. Click it, and use the on-screen wizard to find the image on your computer. You can also search for an image from the creative commons library that is built in to your site. Once you have uploaded your image, it should appear on your site. You'll need to then drag the bottom right edge of the image to resize it. once you're done, be sure to click "Publish" to make it appear on your public site.
Adding a text box to the page
First, figure out where on the page the image should go. You will be limited to the "content area" of the site. You won't be able to add images in the darkened area of your site as you are dragging your image into place. Find the "Paragraph", "Paragraph with title" or "Paragraph with picture" option in the Elements tab, and drag it in to place. Once it is in place, click the new text box to start typing. You can use the formatting tools that automatically appear on the top of the page to format your text.
How to delete an element from a page
If you place an element onto your page and then have second thoughts, you can simply hover-over the element in question and an action bar will appear above it. Click the red and white "X" on the top right to remove the element. The system will ask you to verify that you'd like to delete the element. Approve the deletion and the element will be gone.
How to change your site design
Looking for a change of scenery? You can keep all your content, and change the look of your site in 3 clicks! In your control panel, click the "Design" tab. You'll be presented with icons representing each of the available design themes. When mousing over a theme icon, you may or may not be presented with different color options for that particular theme. You can select a theme by clicking the icon or by clicking your preferred color.
You can also click the "all themes" option to the left of the icons to see a list of all the themes. Select the theme and color option that meets your needs.
As always, be sure to click the "Publish" button when you are done.
How to make multiple columns
A multi-column format allows you to visually present the user with a lot of content in an interesting and easy-to-digest way. Setting up the multiple column format on a page is as easy as dragging a box into place. Once you are on the "elements" tab of the control panel, be sure the "basic" option is selected in the left side of the top bar. You'll then see "Multiple Columns" in the menu. Use your mouse to drag that element into place.
When it is in place, hover your mouse over it and select 2, 3, 4, or 5 columns. The system will adjust automatically, and present you with the appropriate number of columns. Now you can drag text-boxes, photos, or even movies into place inside these new columns.
How to change the header/banner of a page
You may have noticed that some pages of this demo site have full banners, some have thin banners, some have text/graphic banners, and
some have no banners. You can select which of these four types will be on each individual page of your site.
How to make a slideshow in the header of your page.
You'll notice that this particular page has a big banner picture at the very top. You can turn this into a slideshow of photos that you choose.

- click the one that represents the style you'd like to use.
- click "save settings".
- click the "Publish" button on the top right of the page to save.
How to make a slideshow in the header of your page.

- mouse-over the banner image.
- use the drop-down arrow to select "create slideshow".
- Click the green "add slide" button or the "add slide" button on the top left.
- select your photo using the on-screen tools.
- Click the "add slide" button on the top left to add another photo.
- repeat 4 and 5 above until you have a satisfactory slide show.
- use the "options" button to change the way the slideshow looks.
- you can edit individual slides to reposition them, layer on other photos, add text and even change the transition style (slide/fade/tile/etc).
- Be sure to save the slide. You'll be asked if you'd like these changes to be saved to the page you are on, or all pages. Make the appropriate choice for your needs.
- Be sure to click the "Publish" button when you're done.
